About Us

Camp Valor as a self funded site to bring back the simpler times before the electronic age. It is a place to laugh, play and enjoy nature. The only rule here is to help one another and have fun

The Camp

On the outskirts of Chester, South Carolina are 20 acres of rolling hills, open fields, streams and a lake that takes up almost one acre of land.  It is a big playground where you are free to do whatever you think is fun The point is to ENJOY life and ENJOY childhood. You can ride horses, motorcycles, four-wheelers and bikes. You can just run around and play tag or hide-and-go-seek.  There is a fifty foot tall rappelling tower and a slide-slide-for-life near the lake set up for the adventurous heart. The lake is stocked with Bass and Crappie for excellent fishing. There are canoes and jet-skis if you want to get wet. Cabins are set up to house eight people per cabin and two counselors

Who We Are

 

The primary instructors are in or were retired military members. Their background ranges from Special Operations personnel to medical personnel.  Discipline is taught in a friendly manner. The instructors kids are often involved in the camps activities.

 

Bakers, carpenters, glass blowers and stain glass artisans are among the other instructors.

 

The skills taught at Camp Valor are limitless and are designed to give kids every possible advantage to get ahead in life.
